“Bay-Cons”

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or dark/amber agave)
  1. Preheat oven at lowest setting possible.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and coat pecans well. Place in single layer on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with oil.
  3. Bake in oven until nuts are dry to touch – usually about 45-60 minutes.

Use in sandwiches or salads as a vegan bacon substitute. May be kept in sealed container for several days.
