Black Bean Burgers Recipe

Black Bean Burgers                                                                                     


1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained, rinsed

2 Tbsp olive oil mayonnaise (can also use Veganaise)

½ tsp seasoning salt or lemon-pepper seasoning

1 Tbsp whole grain breadcrumbs

Small amount of whole wheat flour




  1. Mash beans with olive oil mayonnaise in a large bowl. Stir in seasoning and whole grain breadcrumbs.
  2. Cover hands in whole wheat flour, then form mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Lightly cover pan with olive oil or canola cooking spray. Add patties to pan and cook about 3 minutes. Carefully turn patties and cook about 3 minutes.


Serves 4
