guac and pico

Looking for a fun dip for your upcoming party? We have just the thing!

Homemade Pico de Gallo Salsa and Guacamole

(Note: The amounts below are all estimations, you can add or subtract as you like for the taste you prefer.)


Pico de Gallo Ingredients:

6 or 7 medium Roma tomatoes, diced

4 Tbsp finely diced red onions

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

1/2 medium jalapeno finely diced with ribs and seeds removed

(leave a little bit in if you want a hotter version)

Juice from 1 small lime

1 tsp Cumin

Salt and Pepper to taste




Dice tomatoes, onions, and jalapeno and place in a bowl.  Add lime juice and mix.  Add cumin and salt and pepper and mix.  Add chopped cilantro last and gently mix.


Refrigerate for 1 hour to give flavors a chance to mix. In the meantime, make the guacamole:


Guacamole Ingredients:

5 medium avocados

Juice of one lime and some zest from the lime


1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and Pepper to taste




Mash the avocados in a bowl. Add the lime juice. Then, add the cilantro, garlic powder, and salt and pepper and mix.


Throw the pico de gallo on top of the guacamole and DIP!
